Alfred was born in 1836. He was the son of William Bagshawe and Sarah Partridge.[1]
He was educated at Rugby School and Uppingham School. He went to Emmanuel College, Cambridge University. He was ordained into the Church of England and was Vicar of South Creake, Norfolk, Rector of Taynton, Gloucestershire and Vicar of Wormhill, Derbyshire.[2][3]

He passed away in 1913.
