William was born in 1863. He was the son of John Bagwell and Sarah Turner. He passed away in 1939.
Note
William’s tombstone appears to incorrectly give his birthdate as 12 July 1869 as all four censuses and the date on his death certificate are consistent with his birthdate being 12 Jul 1863.

Thanks for picking this up. Youre right that the tombstone shows b.d. as 12 Jul 1869. But the death certificate shows b.d. as 12 Jul 1863. So I looked at censuses. 1880 census lists his age 16, 1900 census lists his age 36, 1910 census lists age 46 and 1920 census lists age 56. The 1900 census also gives his b.d. as July 1863. So I think the tombstone date is wrong as all other dates are consistent with his death certificate date of 12 Jul 1863.
