Joseph Ulysses Baham was born on 28 June 1874 at Louisiana, USA.[1] He appeared on the census of June 1880 in the household of his parents, Joseph Baham and Hannah (Paris) Baham at 5th Ward, Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana.[2] He appeared on the census of 11 June 1900 at St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana as a boarder in the Rolph household.[3]

He married Mary Armantine Heisser, daughter of Casimer Heisser and Celine (Rubio) Heisser, in 1902 at St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.[4]

He was a carpenter when he and Mary Armantine appeared on the census of 16 April 1910 at St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.[5] He was a ship carpenter in 1918 at Jahncke Shipyard, Madisonville, St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.[1] He was a blacksmith in a shipyard when he and Mary Armantine appeared on the census of 2 Jan. 1920 at Main St., Madisonville, St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.[6] He was a house carpenter when he and Mary Armantine appeared on the census of 4 April 1930 at New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana.[7]
