Maria Elizabeth Bahn was born around 1736 in York County, Pennsylvania.[1] She was a daughter of John Heinrich Bahn and Eva Cremer,[2] immigrants who migrated from Germany to Philadelphia in 1731. [3]

Maria grew up in York County and married Frederich Ruhl on 7 Jan 1759.[4] They had three children, some of whose baptisms are recorded in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, City of York, Pennsylvania. [5] Their children were:

Heinrich B "Henry" (1763-1830)
John (1765-1838)
Unfortunately, Maria did not live to see her children mature. She passed away around 1769 in Shrewsbury, York County, Pennsylvania. The location of her burial is not known.[1]
