Private First Class Bailey was a member of the 34th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy near Taejon, South Korea on July 20, 1950. He was marched north as part of the Death March, then murdered by his captors on October 20th, at Sunchon. His remains were recovered in Operation Glory in 1954. Final Disposition Date: October 20, 1950.
