John was baptised on 13 July 1713 at Whitminster in the parish of Wheatenhurst. His parents were Anselm and Elizabeth. [1]
On 21 Feb 1735 John married Sarah Clarke in Frampton on Severn, Gloucestershire. The register reads 'John Bayley and Sarah Clark, of Wheatenhurst.' [2]
Over the next 15 years the couple baptised 8 children in Whitminster. Sarah died in 1773.
John died and was buried on 25 September 1797, aged 84. [3]
