Josie was born in 1897. She is the daughter of Cicero Bailey and Sallie Porter. In 1900, the family was living in Cunningham Pendergrass town, Jackson County, Georgia.[1] In 1910, she was living with her parents and siblings in Cunningham in Jackson County, Georgia.[2] By 1930, Josie. now 28, was still living with her parents and her three sisters in Cunningham.[3] Her occupation was farm helper.
Josie passed away in 1969. Burial was in the family plot in the Dry Pond United Methodist Church Cemetery in Dry Pond, Jackson County, Georgia.[4]
