Biography

Martha E Bailey was born about 1830 in Hopkins County, Kentucky.[1][2] She was the daughter of Needham Bailey and Eliza (Smith) Bailey.

She was married 12 October 1848 in Hopkins County, Kentucky to Hayden S. Littlepage.[3] They had six known children, all born in Hopkins County, Kentucky:

  1. Eliza Littlepage, born c. 1850 [1], died young
  2. Lawrence M. Littlepage, born 24 October 1852 [4] [2]
  3. Sarah E. "Sallie" Littlepage, born 23 July 1854 [5][2]

In 1850, Martha E. Littlpage, age 20, lived in District No. 1, Hopkins County, Kentucky with husband Hayden Littlepage and daughter Eliza. [1] Ten years later, Martha and her family were recorded in the 1860 census living in Hopkins County (P.O. Madisonville), Kentucky.[2]

Her husband Hayden died in 1862. Martha E. Littlepage married William W. Cavanah on 14 October 1863 in Hopkins County, Kentucky.[9] They had a son Thadius Cornelius Cavanah.
