Abel Bailey (aka Bayley) was born 20 Jul 1759, to David Bailey (aka Bayley) Sr and Eunice (Brown) Bailey in Stonington.[1]
Baptism
Abel was baptized with two brothers and three sisters at his home, with permission of the church, on 09 Sep 1770, by Reverend Nathaniel Eells of The First Congregational Church of Stonington.[2]
Marriage
Able married Grace Smith, but the exact date and location have not yet been determined.[3]

He served in the Militia under Captain Joseph Morgan of Groton.[6]
Death
After looking through the 1790, 1800, 1810 and 1820 US Census Records, with the limited amount of information available on each, I was able to locate Abel within pages of his father and his brother-in-law Lester Wheeler, he was not found in the 1830 US Census, so it is presumed that he died sometime after 1820, or the 1830 US Census has been lost for the area or it hasn't been transcribed online as of 27 Jul 2018.[7][8][9][10]
