Biography

Richard Parkman Bailey was born on 23 October 1919 in Taree, New South Wales, Australia, the elder son of Dora Greta Parkman Bailey and Clyffe Richard J. G. Bailey.^[1][2][3][4]

He attended Taree High School,^[5] before making a career as a chemist.^[6]

His engagement to Gwenyth Leighton Roulston was announced in April 1942.^[3] The couple married in 1943 in Manly, New South Wales.^[7] Their son was born in August 1946 in Taree.^[8]

Richard died on 8 February 1963 at Newcastle Hospital in Newcastle, New South Wales, aged 43 years.^[2][4] His remains were interred at St John's Anglican Church, Taree.^[9]
