William served in the United States Army during the Korea War. He was wounded and taken as a Prisoner Of War.
He married Geraldine Grindstaff, Jul 1955 in Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio. During the marriage, they had two children. Geraldine and William divorced 05 Jul 1963, in Multnomah County, Oregon.
William passed away 04 Oct 2006, in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. He is buried in the Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. [2]
