Biography

Benjamin Bailey, son of Joseph Bailey andJerusha (Pierce) Bailey, was baptized at Scituate on 7 September 1712.

He died between 28 May and 15 September 1770. Benjamin's will was dated 30 April 1770 and proved 15 September 1770.[1][2]

  • 1735 He married first Ruth (Tilden) Litchfield, widow of James Litchfield, on 12 June 1735 at Scituate. Benjamin and Ruth had the following (10) children:

  2. Martha, baptized 7 May 1738; died 5 July 1750
  3. Benjamin, baptized 27 July 1740; died 25 February 1742
  4. Nathaniel, baptized 6 June 1742; died 1 February 1743

  7. Benjamin, baptized 17 May 1747
