Biography

Harriet Bailey was born on 2 March 1845 in MacDonald River, New South Wales, Australia^[1] and christened on 2 April 1845^[2], as the second child of William Henry Bailey and Jane Knight. She had ten siblings, namely: Jane, Charles, Sarah, Matilda, Joseph, Henry, Edward, Mark, David, Alexander and Reuben. She had Eight Half siblings, namely: Ann, Elizabeth, Susannah, William John, James, Mary Ann, George and Richard.

When she was 26, she married John Preston, the son of Joseph Preston and Hannah at MacDonald River, New South Wales, Australia, on 11 May 1871^[3].

Harriet died on 11 August 1922^[4] at Wollombi, New South Wales, Australia.

Burial: She was buried^[5][6] in the Wollombi General Cemetery, Wollombi, New South Wales, Australia.
