Biography

Sally Wix was enumerated at Unionville Post Office, Cross Keys Township, Union County, South Carolina for the August 24, United States Census, 1870. She was noted as born 1839-1840 in South Carolina and keeping house. She was marked as not being able to read or write as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are male Alonzo Wix, male Willie Wix, male Jesse Wix, male Johnny Wix and female Caroline Powers.[1]

Sarah Wix was enumerated as wife at Union Township, Union County, South Carolina for the June 14, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as keeping house, born 1840 in South Carolina and married as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self Alonzo W Wix, son John Wix, daughter Sally Wix, daughter Daisy Wix, stepson William Wilbourn and stepson Jesse Wilbourn.[2]

Sally Bailey was listed as the mother of William Thomas Wilburn who died February 17, 1941 in Union, Union County, South Carolina. The father was listed as Thomas Wilburn as seen in an image of the original death certificate.[3]
