Biography

George was born in 1663. Proceeds to Holland after his father's execution; returns with Prince of Orange, 1688, and obtains restoration of family estates of Jarviswood or Jerviswood and Mellerstain. when he died his wife said of him "the best of husbands and the delight of my life for 48 years"[1].

He died in 1738 in Oxford, where his grandsons were students in the University.

His membership of the Privy Council (PC) gives him the title Right Honourable".
