Biography

Jane was born in 1886, the daughter of John Baillie and Ann Hutton. ^[1]

During the 1891 Census of England, "Janie" (age 5) was residing in a house 5, King Street in Maryport, Crosscanonby, Cumberland, England with her Parents and at that time, 7 siblings. Their last name was recorded as "Bailey".^[2]

Jane (age 15) was residing in a house 6 Senhouse Street, Netherhall, Cumberland, England during the 1901 Census of England with her parents, and siblings who were still living at home (Richard age 27, Christopher age 10 and Alexander age 8).^[3]

Around 1908, Jane married Joseph Scott.

Jane and Joseph were residing in a house 2 Smith Yard, Netherhall with their daughter Martha during the 1911 England Census. Joseph was recorded as a Labourer in a Coal Mine. It was also recorded that they had 2 total children with 1 child still living at the time of the census.^[4]

Jane passed away in 1963. ^[5]
