You can also add tags for locations or interests - explore the project link for these. Welcome Back! Things have improved on WikiTree since 2017 so I would suggest you review New Member How-to pages which may save you a lot of time and frustration. Don't be afraid to ask questions in our G2G forum and get involved as much or as little as works for you. Be sure to check out the tabs at the very top right hand side of your profile, there is lots to discover!
To contact me, log in to WikiTree and go to your profile. Use the ‘Reply’ link below my comment to be sure that I will be notified. You can also click my name to send a private message, or post a comment, on my profile page.
Enjoy the site!

Since you uploaded a GEDCOM, I wanted to give you the link to a tutorial that one of our mentors created that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.
The GEDCOM will not automatically populate your tree, it generates a GEDCOMpare report which you work through either accepting or rejecting suggested matches. Once you have done this the data from your file will be filled in on the add profile screen so that you can review and make adjustments before saving.
If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, let us know by using the "reply" link under our comments, or by clicking our names to visit our profiles. From there, you can leave a comment, or send a private message.

Please do not hesitate to ask questions! Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.
Thanks, WikiMesssenger Cindy
You may have been hard at work getting connected to family members who are already here and adding those who were missing. You probably have at least a few profiles that you manage now.
There's a fast and easy way to access those profiles using the Watchlist. So, this week we're going to look at How to Manage Your Watchlist.
Questions? Just ask. We want to help!
If the above link does not work from your email, please go to your profile in the public comments and it will work from there.

You are now a confirmed member, and you can get started adding your family members. As we've said, WikiTree is quite different from other genealogy sites. So, we've put together a guided tour to help you learn how to use it. Your first stop is
How to Start Climbing Our Tree.
Tomorrow, you'll hear from a Mentor who will check in to see how you're doing and answer any questions you might have.
Next week, you'll get another message with your next stop on the guided tour.
You can have fun with our Question of the Week in the G2G forum:
How do you use social media to promote your genealogy?
Greeter Derek (Northern Ireland)
