Biography

Henry Baird is possibly the son of John Baird and Dorothea Haining, born in Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland on 15 March 1847.[1]

Henry married Elizabeth Wylie on 1 October 1869 at Central District, Glasgow, Scotland.[2] They had children together:

  1. James, b. 31 Jul 1870[3][4]
  2. Charlotte, b. 29 Dec 1872[5]
  3. Mary Baird, b 1 Dec 1874[6]
  4. Dorothy, b. ca 1891[7]
  5. Elizabeth, b 9 Mar 1891[7]

Henry Baird, a tobacco pipe maker, was living with his wife and two daughters, Dorothy and Elizabeth, at 3 Sheriff Brae, Leith, Scotland in 1891.[7]

In 1871, Henry Baird was living with his father-in-law, Thomas and Mary Wylie, Elizabeth (Wylie) Baird, and James Baird at 18 Barrack Street, High Church, Glasgow, Scotland.[4]
