Hi Gail,

I'm currently working on the American Revolution category. As a top-level category, it isn't intended to have any person profiles categorised within - profiles should instead be categorised in the lower subcategories denoting the state of service or the unit in which they served. I noticed that you've categorised your own profile in this category. It would be greatly appreciated if you could remove the category from the profile when you get the chance :)

Regards, Amelia

Hi Gail, I just wanted to thank you for all the work you've done to improve the US Civil War Between the States Project. I'm doing a check-in with all project members and wanted to verify that you're still interested in being a member of the project. Also, any suggestions for the Project would be welcome. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello,

I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.

If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi Gail,

We're sad to inform you that the Black Sheep Project is being dissolved. All BSP's subprojects will be moved in pieces under the Notables Project as categories and perhaps as Teams, depending on interest. Witch Trials will become a subproject of Notables.

Your BSP project member badge will soon be removed. If you'd like to join the Notables project, please let one of us know and we'll get you a Notables badge.

Please email either of us if you have any questions and if you'd like to join the Notables project.

Thanks, Susan McNamee & Traci Thiessen ~Co-leaders, Black Sheep Project

Gail, as you may know, most autosomal DNA tests require that someone must be within six to eight generations away from a common ancestor for there to be enough DNA to show a match with another descendant of that ancestor. I noticed you are at the edge of that parameter since you are an eighth generation descendant of Jemima. So, I was just wondering if you have found a match with any other descendants of Jemima (Jefferson) Collins Davis who descend as far away from her as you and who you have no other common ancestors with. My mother also tested with AncestryDNA. My mother also tested with AncestryDNA and she is a match with descendants of ALL the other children of Capt. Thomas Jefferson, II (1679-1731). Thanks.

Hi Gail,

The Ireland Project (previously the Irish Roots Project) has now changed its structure into Teams. We require everyone with the Ireland Badge to be a member of at least one Team or Sub-Team and our google group. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Ireland for details. The Teams are :-

1. Categories Team
2. Counties Team
3. Managed Profiles Team
4. Membership Team
5. Profile Improvement Team
6. Topics Team
7. Diaspora

? Can you let me know if you’d like to stay on in the new project and which team(s) you’d like to join. Please also let me know your e-mail address so that I can get you added to the project’s Google Group or confirm you are already a member of the google group.

Many thanks,

Maria

Hi Gail,

I see that you've marked the relationship of many of your ancestors to their parents 'confirmed with DNA'. There's a statement required to be entered in each child's biography explaining how you used DNA to confirm the parental relationship(s). It's all explained here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/DNA_Confirmation Please add a statement for each child whose parents you have marked 'confirmed with DNA'. Thanks! Please let me know if I can help.
