Emaline was born in 1826 in Caldwell County, North Carolina. Her parents were Medaris-38 and Mary Elizabeth Moore. She passed away on 13 June 1915 in Lenoir, Caldwell County, North Carolina. She was buried in Confidence Advent Church Cemetery in Lenoir.[1]
Emeline was married to William R. Baker who was in the 58th North Carolina Infantry, Company E, and died in December 23, 1863 in Atlanta, Georgia.
She had a sister named Amanda Rebecca Medaris who married Robert Felix Estes and a brother, John Enzor Medaris.
