Timothy Baker was born in Concord, Massachusetts on 30 Nov 1730 to Joseph Baker and Alice Jefts. Timothy married Mary Dakin on 15 Jan 1761 in Sudbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[1]

Private Timothy Baker served with Middlesex County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.
On 19 Apr 1775, he enlisted with the revolutionary forces. He was a private in Capt Samuel Reed's Co in Middlsex, Col William Prescott's Regt.[2][3] He would have been 45 years old, leaving a six-months pregnant wife and six daughters (aged 2-12 years). He must have been delighted in September 1775 when his seventh child, and first son, Samuel was born. He continued to fight for his country until 1783.
