George H. Baker was born 26 Apr 1825 at Colchester, Connecticut. He was the eighth child (son) of Susannah (Avery) and Elisha Baker, who were all born and raised at Colchester.
Note: His middle name is uncertain. An earlier version of this profile gave 'Henry', however the header panel in his online memorial site presents it as 'Horace'. The depicted grave marker is not explicit, simply evident as the initial 'H." [1], which in a greater sense agrees with the Avery genealogy. We elect not to intrinsically agree with the F-A-G assignment, and will conservatively remain with the initial H.
He married Elizabeth A. Howe. The following children are listed, with actuarial dates as indicated in the memorial site:
George H. Baker passed away 20 May 1882, probably in Pennsylvania.
Note: An earlier version of this profile indicated that George was listed in the 1900 Census. This cannot be accurate, as he had been deceased for some time prior to that.
