Charles was born in Camden London in 1876 to George and Annie Baker later they moved to Onehouse Suffolk  In 1891 he was a Miller's apprentice.
In 1901 he is a Flour Miller and lives in 115 Norwich Rd Ipswich with his wife Matilda and son Charles H 3 , daughter Ellen Elizabeth 2 and sister Florence aged 17. 
The family does not appear in the 1911 UK census however they do appear in Ontario Canada in 1917 at the marriage of daughter Ellen Elizabeth Baker to George Howe 
The 1921 Canada Census shows Charles or Charlie his wife Matilda and sons Charlie, Albert and Joseph (who was born in Canada) in William Street Brockville Ontario
