William Baker is a part of US Black heritage.

William Howard Baker was born on 18 June 1898 in Gallatin, Sumner County, Tennessee, USA. Son of Warren Baker and Mattie Wilson.

William Howard Baker was Josephine Baker's second husband. At the time, he was a Pullman porter in Philadelphia and Josephine, 15, was touring with the Dixie Steppers. They were married in Philadelphia in September 1921 and separated two years later, when Josephine left for Paris[1].

William died on 26 July 1950 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA.
