Silas was born on 21 October 1799 in Yarmouth, Massachusetts, the son of Silas and Sarah (Crowell) Baker. [1]
He married Ruthy (Ruth) Crowell on 22 January 1821 in Yarmouth. Silas died, aged 71, on 29 May 1871, and is buried with his wife Ruth in Quaker Meeting House Cemetery, South Yarmouth, Barnstable, Massachusetts. [2] [3]
