Pearl Gladys Adams, 93, of Conesville died Wednesday, April 3, 1996, at the Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction with burial in the Conesville Cemetery, Conesville.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.
Mrs. Adams was born March 1, 1903, in Millersburg, Ill., to William and Lucy (Almandinger) Baker. She attended school in Columbus Junction. She married Russell A. Adams March 1, 1920, in Conesville. He died Sept. 12, 1962. They farmed northwest of Columbus Junction and later west of Conesville. They moved to Conesville when they retired in September 1961. She moved to Colonial Manor Care Center Sept. 1, 1980.
She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America; Grace United Church of Christ, Conesville; the Farm Bureau Women and the Conesville Senior Citizens.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Howard and Twyla Adams of Beach Park, Ill., and E.B. "Bill" and Gail Adams of Blue Grass; two daughters, Bernice Mundt of Waverly and Wanda Carson of Conesville; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, six brothers and one sister also died earlier.[1]
