Biography

This is the profile for Judith Baker, the daughter of Nicholas Baker and Mary (Hodgetts) Baker.^[1]

Date and Place of Birth

The will of Nicholas Baker states that Judith was his third (youngest) daughter. Since Nicholas's next youngest daughter, Elizabeth, was baptized in 1593^[2] and since the most likely available gap in the birth order of Nicholas' children after that date is between son Jenry, baptized in 1598, and son John, probably born in 1602,^[3] it is most likely that Judith was born about 1600. Since all the records for Nicholas' family are from Kings Norton, Worcestershire and Oldswinford, Worcestershire, Judith was probably born in the general area of those towns in Worcestershire.

Death

Judith died "of the sickness"^[1] and was buried at St. Mary, Oldswinford, Worcestershire on 7 May 1607.^[4]
