Biography
Doris was born in 1916 in Petone, Lower Hutt, New Zealand.[1] She married Harold Nicholson in 1934 [2] She served as the mayor of the nearby city of Upper Hutt from 1971 to 1977, the first and only female mayor of the city.[3] She passed away in 1982 [4] cause of death being asthma and cardiac failure.
