He was married, off and on, to the polyandrous Sallie English, who kept his surname when she became the consort of Ed Priest and John Rave. Judging from the age of their oldest child, he had married her in 1881, but left him for Ed Priest. When the latter died in 1892, she took up with John Rave, but by 1914, she had taken up residence with William Baker again, and remained with him until her death in 1922. (censuses) William appears not to have any other consort than Sallie English.
Children
William Baker had the following children with Sallie English (1888, 1895, 1899, 1902 censuses):
The birth order name Wīhą́gā, "Second Daughter", comes from the 1888 and 1895 censuses. Kųnųgá, who appears in the 1888 census, apparently died in infancy. Completely anomalous is the name Ha-na-kaw for a girl born in 1890. (1895 census) The name matches Henaga, the name for the Second Son, but the entry reads "Dau." The unnamed girl b. 8 Jan 1895 (1895 census) appears to be the same as Wa-pakon-mic-mowe-win-kaw of the 1899 census.
