George was born in 1926. He was the son of Moses Baker and Susanna Drodge. He passed away in 2002.

BAKER, George Deer Lake July 14th, 1926 - May 21st, 2002 It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Baker announce his passing on Tuesday, May 21st, 2002 at his family residence in his 75th year. He will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters, Nicholas (Edith), Edmund (Murial) both of Deer Lake, Mrs. Lucy Coish of Baie Verte, Annie (Milton) Wight, Mrs. Frances Cull both of Deer Lake, Laura (Donald) Gentry of California, USA and Mrs. Julia Paul of Tampa Florida. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Suzannah and Moses, sisters, Doris, Vida and brother Robert. Visitation took place from Parsons Funeral Home, 63 Northmain Street, Deer Lake on Wednesday at 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place today, Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church in Deer Lake with Pastor Baker officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot on Wights Road. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home, Deer Lake.
