In the 1841 English Census, George (aged ~30), and Mary were living in Yeovil with their 1-year-old daughter Eliza. They were living next door to George's mother, father, and siblings. Both Goerge and his father Malachi were working as sailcloth weavers.[3]
In the 1851 English Census, George (aged ~40) was still living in Yeovil with his wife, Mary (41); and his children, Eliza (11), Amelia (9), and Susan (7). George was now working as a labourer.[4]
George (43), Mary (45), Eliza (15), Amelia (13), and Susan (11) emigrated to Australia on the vessel "Kate", arriving in New South Wales on 18 November 1854. They were part of the assisted immigration scheme.[5]
George passed away on 27 June 1889 at Queensland.[6]
