John Littleton Baker was born on 3 March 1854 in Big Flat Township, Searcy County, Arkansas, United States, son of Littleton Baker and Martha Adeline (Morgan) Baker.

John married Amanda Appleton .

John married Mary Elizabeth Williams on 15 September 1878. Their children were:

  3. Mary Arter (Baker) Tilley
  4. John Cleveland Baker
  5. Sarah Elizabeth (Baker) Williams
  6. James Thurman Baker
  7. Forrest Baker

John died on 24 March 1928 in Marshall, Searcy County, Arkansas aged 74. He is buried in Sulphur Springs Cemetery, Searcy County.[1]
