Biography

Willem and his twin brother Lambertus were born at 4 a.m. on December 1, 1827 at the Melkmarkt in Enkhuizen [1] [2]. They were sons of Dirk Bakker and Marijtje de Wit.

Willem, 23yr, married Jacoba Hart, 22yr (b. 22 Dec 1828), daughter of Adrianus Hart, fisherman, and Alida Kroonstuiver, on May 22, 1851 in Enkhuizen.[3] [4]

Wife Jacoba died on 30 Oct 1908 in Enkhuizen.[8]

The corpse of Willem was taken out of the water of the Oosterhaven (Eastern Harbour) in Enkhuizen at 1 p.m. on April 21 1909. [9]
