Edward Baldock was born in Faversham, Kent, England.

Edward Baldock was born on 29 Jun 1836 in Faversham, Kent, England to parents Thomas Baldock and Elizabeth Austin. He was christened on 31 Jul in Faversham, Kent, England.^[1][2]

In 1841 he was age 4 and living with his parents Thomas Baldock and Elizabeth Austin and his siblings in Faversham, Kent, England.^[3]

In 1851 he was age 14 and living in Faversham, Kent, England with his parents and sisters.^[4]

In 1861 he was single and age 24 and living in St Marylebone, London, England with his older brother George, and working as a callerman.^[5]

Edward emigrated from England to New Zealand with his sisters Harriet and Elizabeth and brother George aboard the ship Matilda Wattenbach, leaving Gravesend, Kent, England on 2 Jun 1862 and arriving in Auckland, New Zealand on 8 Sep 1862. ^[6]

Edward Baldock and Margaret Keziah Broad were married in 1873 at Glenside, Auckland, New Zealand near Eden Terrace.^[7][8]
