Manning River Times and Advocate for the Northern Coast Districts of New South Wales (Taree, NSW : 1898 - 1954), Saturday 6 March 1926, page 4. ^[1] MR. JAMES BALDWIN. An old identity and native of Port Macquarie, in the person of Mr. Jas. Baldwin, passed away at 8 o'clock on Monday night last in the Hastings District Hospital, Port Macquarie, where he had been a patient for several weeks. The cause of death was heart trouble. Deceased was 73 years of age, and was born in Port Macquarie and resided in the district all his life, where he engaged principally in road contracting. He was married in St. Thomas' Church about 50 years ago to Miss Jane Joyce, who predeceased him by about four years. A family of five boys and six girls survive, viz.: John Henry — "Jack" (Albury), James (Taree), George (Ballengarra), Charles (Canberra), Harry (Port Macquarie), and Mesdames Brown (Stuart Town), Ring-land (Port Stephens), Swaite, McDonald and Murray (Sydney), and T. Harriott (Maria River). The funeral took place on Tuesday, Rev. L. Gray officiating. We extend our sympathy to the family in their bereavement.— Port Macquarie "News."
