Charles was the son of James Balfa.
He married Clara Reed, the daughter of William Reed & Marie Louise Vasseur, on 28 Dec 1840 in Opelousas, Louisiana. [1]
He died in Plaisance on 21 Mar 1881 at age 58. [2]
