Biography

Emelia Balfour was the daughter of Major Hon. Henry Balfour of Dunbog, county of Fife, Scotland. She was born about 1703, probably in the parish of Dunbog.[1][2]

Emelia married David Clephan of Carslogie in the parish of Dunbog, county of Fife, Scotland on 31 October 1728.[3]

Emelia was 73 years old when she died on 30 December 1776 in Anstruther-Easter parish, in the county of Fife, Scotland. She was buried there on 3 January 1777. [4][5][6] [7]

    The published date of Emelia's death as occurring on the 31 is incorrect based on the original record at ScotlandsPeople, as is the spelling of her name.
