Biography
Emelia Balfour was the daughter of Major Hon. Henry Balfour of Dunbog, county of Fife, Scotland. She was born about 1703, probably in the parish of Dunbog.[1][2]
Emelia married David Clephan of Carslogie in the parish of Dunbog, county of Fife, Scotland on 31 October 1728.[3]
Emelia was 73 years old when she died on 30 December 1776 in Anstruther-Easter parish, in the county of Fife, Scotland. She was buried there on 3 January 1777.

Mrs Emelia Clephan Widow burial (died on 30 Dec 1776 at age 73) on 3 Jan 1777. Place of death: Cupar, Carslogie in Fife, Scotland. David Clephan (Esq). This record/transcription is misleading as she clearly died and was buried in Anstruther Easter based on the original record from ScotlandsPeople and The Scots Magazine.
