Biography

Milo J. Ball was born 7 Jun 1867. He was the son of David Ball and Mary Williams. [1]

Marriage

On the 19th of last month Rev. B. T. Stauber united in marriage at the home of the bride, Milo J. Ball, of Center township, and Miss Ella Kelley, of Sibley township. Many valuable and costly presents were presented to the newly married couple. They are two of Cloud counties deserving young people having lived in the county a number of years. The Daylight joins with their many friends in extending congratulations. [2]

Death

  • Milo passed away 8 Apr 1897 (aged 29) and is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Cloud County, Kansas [3]
  • On last Thursday at his home in Center township four miles south of Concordia Milo Ball died. Mr. Ball has been in very -poor health for several years and his death was not unexpected. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Ball of Center township and had resided in Cloud county a good many yeaas. His death was the result of throat and bronchial trouble. Mr. Ball leaves a wife and one child to mourn his untimely death. He lacked two months of being thirty years of age and was a bright industrious young man well liked by all who knew him. The funeral which was an unusually large one was conducted from the Methodist courch by Rev. F. D. Baker. The relatives have the sympathy of their many acquaintances in the loss of a husband, father, son and brother. [4]
  • The funeral of Milo Ball was held from the M. E. church Saturday at 11 o'clock. Elder F. D. Baker preached a very appropriate sermon. There was a very large attendance, as Mr. Ball was held in high esteem. The G. A. R. post attended in a body. [5]
