Mrs. Amy Constance Millard. 65, passed away in hospital at Kempsey, Monday last, as a result of a fall some weeks ago at her home, East Kempsey, when she sustained a broken hip. For a lenghty period prior to the accident she had been in failing health. The late Mrs. Millard was of a very quiet disposition, and for twenty-eight years she had cared for an invalid son who predeceased her last year. Deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry. Ball, East Longreach, She is survived by one son, Mr. Edward Milton Millard, at home, Mr. H. P. Ball. East Longreach, is a brother; and sisters are Mrs. T. A. Salmon (Murwillumbah), and Mrs. Thomas Brown (Kempsey) . The funeral took place on Tuesday morning under conduct of Mr. J. R. Garland, moving, from St. Alban's Church of England, East Kempsey, after a service by the Ven. Archdeacon A . B. Tress, who also officiated at the graveside at the Church of England Cemetery, Frederickton, in the presence of an exceedingly large number of friends. Her niece, Miss C. Ball, presided at the organ for the service at St. Alban's.
