Biography

Lawrence was born in 1904. The 1910 and 1920 census information shows him living with his parents and siblings in Harlan County, Kentucky. ^{[1] [2]} The 1930 census shows him living in Baltimore, Maryland, working as a hospital physician. ^[3] In about 1935 he married Mildred Gertrude Pogue. The 1940 census shows him living with his wife in Honolulu, Hawaii. At this time he is a United States Army Captain. ^[4] Lawrence passed away in 1986. ^{[5] [6]}

Research Notes

While in the Army, Colonel Lawrence Ball was one of the attending physicians at General George Patton's death. There was a movie made, called The Last Days of Patton, where an actor played Lawrence Ball's part. After the war he also testified at the Dachau Trails. Copying and pasting this reference in google will let you read what he testified to. ^[7]
