Ebenezer Ball was born on July 3, 1729 in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, son of Jeremiah Ball Sr. (1701 - 1780) and Mary (Stevens) Ball (1702 - 1764). ^[4]

Ebenezer married Rebecca Butterfield (1729 - 1800) on Nov. 1, 1753 in Westford, Middlesex County. ^[5]
