A soldier during the Revolutionary War serving in Capt. James Hosley's company, Col. William Prescott's regiment, which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775. [1] [2] [3]

Ebenezer Ball was born on July 3, 1729 in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, son of Jeremiah Ball Sr. (1701 - 1780) and Mary (Stevens) Ball (1702 - 1764). [4]

Ebenezer married Rebecca Butterfield (1729 - 1800) on Nov. 1, 1753 in Westford, Middlesex County. [5]

  1. Rebecca Ball, b. Nov. 8, 1754; m. 1st: Feb. 1, 1787, William Weston of Townsend.
  2. Ebenezer Ball Jr., b. Sept. 2, 1756.

  4. Susannah Ball, b. Oct. 22, 1760; m. Dec. 16, 1788, Joseph Haywood of Chelmsford.
