Biography

Thomas Ball was born in Concord Massachusetts on February 23, 1725, to Thomas and Abigail Ball.

He married Rebecca Parmenter on June 5, 1760, and had five children with her--Mary, Samuel, Rebecca, Thankful, and Silas.

He was a Private in Capt. Thomas Eustis' Co., which marched on the alarm April 19, 1775 to Cambridge. He enlisted Feb. 14, 1777.

He was killed in battle on July 20, 1777[1], having served in the Continental Army at Saratoga. Served in Capt. Adam Wheeler's company, under Colonel Thomas Nixon's regiment.[2] Some documents list 7/20/1777 as death date.
