Isaiah Ball and his brother, Dennis, purchased 48 acres of land situated in Butler County, Ohio (Part of Section 21 of the 2nd Township in the 3rd Military Range east of the Great Miami River) from their father, Zopher Ball, for the sum of $300 dollars on 25 June 1808 in Butler County, Ohio.[1]
He married Phebe Breese on 1 September 1808 in Butler County, Ohio.[2]
He served as a Private in Zumwalt's 2nd Regiment of Ohio Militia during the War of 1812.[3]
He, his wife, Phebe, brother, Dennis, and sister-in-law, Margaret, sold 48 acres of land situated in Butler County, Ohio (Part of Section 21 of the 2nd Township in the 3rd Military Range east of the Great Miami River, excepting and reserving a parcel of land around the grave of their mother, Sarah Ball and others) to Elizabeth Harvey for the sum of $480 dollars on 1 April 1813 in Butler County, Ohio.[4]

Yes, FindAGrave does show Isaiah's father as Zopher Ball. His father is also identified as Zopher or Zophar in various military records. However, Burke's American Families with British Ancestors lists his full name as John Arnold Zopher Ball. I've chosen to use the full name to distinguish him from several other Zopher Ball's. I hope we have not created parallel lines of genealogy here.
