TIMOTHY BALLARD, b. 28 Jul 1757 son of Timothy Ballard and Sarah Abbott;[1] Timothy, d. at Andover, by suicide, 28 Feb 1828;[2] m. at Andover, 30 Oct 1783,[3] his third cousin once removed, MARY FOSTER, b. at Andover, 21 Jul 1763[4] daughter of William Foster and Hannah Abbot;[5] Mary d. at Andover, 30 Mar 1834.[6]
Timothy and Mary did not have children of their own but adopted three of their nieces and nephews.
Timothy Ballard did not leave a will and his estate entered probate 25 March 1828 with widow Mary declining administration and William Rogers, Esq. of Tewksbury appointed. Total estate value was $25,287.72. Heirs-at-law of the estate were siblings, nieces, and nephews. These were brother Joshua Ballard, the children of sister Anny Abbot, and the children of sister Sarah Pinkham.[7]
