Related Probate

Anna (Ballard) Abbott's brother Timothy Ballard died in 1828 without leaving children. His probate includes distribution to his heirs among them the children of his sister Anny Abbott. Following the probate distribution, heirs of the estate entered land transactions disposing of the property. The children of Anna given as heirs were Samuel Abbot of Dexter, Maine, the minor children of Abel and Sally Abbot, Anna Abbot, Paschal and wife Mary in her right, William B. Abbot, the minor children of Timothy Abbot, and Benjamin and Fanny Downes.^[1] Several of the children of Job and Anna Abbott conveyed their inheritance from the estate of Timothy Ballard to Paschal Abbott. These were Samuel Abbot of Dexter, Maine, Anna Abbot single woman of Andover, and William B; Abbot of Andover with his wife Lucinda relinquishing her right of dower.^[2]

Children

Job Abbott and Anna Ballard were parents of thirteen children born at Wilton. Both parents died in 1805 and the children went to Andover after that. Three of the children married their first cousins, children of Nathan and Sarah (Ballard) Abbott.
