Biography

Mary was probably born in Goochland, Colony of Virginia. She was the daughter of Joseph Ballinger and Charity (Wade) Ballenger. [1]

"... Mary Ballinger, born about 1720, married Pearce Wade. She died before Pearce, who died in 1770 in Amherst County, Virginia. Her children were: Ballinger Wade, Pearce Wade Jr., David Wade, Charity Wade Dawson, Mary Wade White, Jane Wade and Jeremiah Wade..."[2]

Mary Ballenger married Pearce Wade prior to 1744 as she was named in her father's will that year under her married name.

Mary died at the age of about 43 on 8 July 1764 in Curles, Henrico, Virginia, United States. [Note: She did not die in Henrico. The family was living in Amherst from at least 1762 (land transactions) and Pearce Wade died in Amherst. This is an unsourced family tree record]
