When I was in the 8th grade at Aledo Jr. High School we were given an assignment from our history teacher, Wilma Lund, to write an article for the Illinois History magazine. The theme of this particular month was Illinois Inventions and Inventors (Volume 25, Number 3, December 1971). I chose to write about my great-great uncle, Irvin Balmer, who invented the Do-Do Clown. I have attached the article to the Images tab. Eileen Gilliland Sipes
