Eli L. Bane is the son of William Bane and Sarah (Repass) Bane.

On the 1880 Census, Eli is listed as "Ellie L. Bane" daughter ... which is confusing.

While the rest of the family moved to Indiana, Eli remained in Tazewell County. He is buried in the Burkes Garden Central Cemtery in Burkes Garden, Tazewell County, Virginia.
