Agnes Bane was christened August 6, 1738, in Denny, Stirling, Scotland, a daughter of John Bane and Margaret (Denovan) Bane. [1] On April 23, 1769, in Denny, Agnes married Thomas Moffat. [2]

It would appear that Agnes and Thomas immigrated to Stafford county Virginia with her parents. Thomas is found on the United States Census of 1820, living in Stafford county.
