Biography
Mary Bangs was born on 1 October 1772 in Gorham, Maine. Her parents were Heman Bangs and Molly (Lakeman) Bangs[1].
She married Nathaniel Phinney on 30 April 1792 in Gorham[2]. They had four children[3]:
- 1. Heman, born Nov 1792; died 1793
- 2. Sally; married Stephen Harding
- 3. Benjamin, born ca. 1797; married 1st Elizabeth Sloper, 2nd Angelina (Crockett) Phinney
- 4. Eli, born ca. 1801; married Angelina Crockett
Mary passed away on 17 August 1821[4] and is buried in Eastern Cemetery in Gorham.
